Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please visit the Hotels section on the website. There are many options for accommodations in the Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. area. We have included some options in Old Town Alexandria, which is where Felice, Josh, and their families will be staying. We highly recommend Old Town, however we do recognize that Old Town might not be appropriate for everyone's budget. We have also included hotel options in Alexandria and Springfield that are also more closely located to our three venues - Mount Vernon, St. Ambrose Catholic Church, and Gunston Hall.

What can you tell us about transportation options?

Answer

The church and reception are both easily accessible by car. However, we do want to encourage people to consider using rideshare options if you will be drinking. If interested, you will have the option to leave your car overnight at Gunston Hall, but you will not be able to pick it up until the museum opens on Sunday at 9:30am.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Our wedding ceremony begins promptly at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 11 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Annandale, VA. Please arrive between 12:30pm - 12:45pm.

What about parking for the ceremony and reception?

There will be plenty of available parking at St. Ambrose Catholic Church and also at Gunston Hall.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

For the wedding ceremony, please dress appropriately for a Catholic church service. The dress code for the reception is cocktail attire. However, it will be in an outdoor garden setting, so please wear appropriate footwear.

What do we need to know about the rehearsal dinner?

Answer

Our Friday night rehearsal dinner is at the Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant on October 10 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm. This venue is part of George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate. On that day, there will be another special event at Mount Vernon (besides our own), which will significantly restrict parking availability. As such, we strongly encourage our guests to carpool or use Uber. If you are driving, please try to arrive closer to 5:30pm and explore the Mount Vernon gift shop.

Are children welcome?

Our events are adult-only with the exception of the children of immediate family members who are participating in the wedding.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to our desire for an intimate celebration, we are unable to accommodate any plus ones beyond those listed on the invitations.

What about food allergies or special dietary needs?

Answer

We are doing everything possible to make sure that all food items served at our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception are gluten free. Both Felice and Josh are gluten-free, so we want to be able to enjoy all of our own food! Vegetarian plates will be available upon request. Please reach out to the bride and groom if you have any questions.
