We're getting married!

Dating app? COVID? Creative date ideas? Yup! We did it all! We matched on Hinge as I landed in Denver from my first vacation to Destin, FL. We were both in each other's set proximities in the app, which normally wouldn't have happened as I was living in Fort Collins at the time. I saw a picture of David and his entire family for Christmas on his profile, captioned "How many attempts did it take to capture this photo?" I decided to take the first shot, and responded to that prompt with a confident 6! He replied confirming that I was correct! What a confidence booster right? I find out years later, that it actually only took one attempt... *facepalm* After a few weeks of chatting, our schedules weren't matching up to meet, so we decided on a virtual video date. Little did we know we would chat for 7 HOURS! It was at this time we decided to go out of our ways to make sure we could finally meet in person. Our first in person date was tricky, as everything was being shut down due to COVID. We couldn't go out to dinner, drinks, coffee, or anything considered normal for a first date. We decided on a hike at Devil's Backbone in Loveland, CO. After a stroll along the path and some chatting, we had worked up an appetite. We ordered a pizza from a local place to pick up, and ate pizza in the back of my car with the hatch up in the rain at Lake Loveland! Our first time traveling together was out of the country to Mexico for one of his friends weddings. That year was the most I had traveled in my entire life, and now it seems to be a regular occurrence for us. Our favorite annual trip is to Destin, FL, where the sun shines and the sushi's fresh! Being foodies, we thoroughly enjoy building our vacations around new (and favorite) food joints. Between trips for fun and family, travel has become a common love of ours. New adventures, amazing memories, and delicious food always await us in new places! Since the white sandy beaches of Florida have become a part of our hearts, David decided to propose on a family vacation to Disneyland on December 5, 2023. We drove 2 hours from Orlando to stay with some friends in Tarpon Springs for a few days. The second morning, we went to breakfast and then off to Honeymoon Island, where David got down on one knee on the beautiful white beaches of Florida, and proposed! And here we are, 4 years later, still having pizza dates and making memories traveling! We look forward to sharing our special day with all of you!
