Question

I heard you're doing the Polish Small Dance, what is that?

Answer

The Small Dance is a Polish tradition that takes place at the end of a wedding reception. To the tune of a lively Polka, guests form a circle and toss dollar bills into the Maid of Honor’s apron for a turn to dance with the bride. The collected money is usually given to the newlyweds to start their life together. Anyone can dance, but the dance continues until everyone willing has had a turn. At the end, the father of he bride and the mother of the bride both take their turns. Then the groom enters the circle, tosses his whole wallet into the apron, and escorts the bride out of the room! Anyone who wishes to participate is more than welcome!
