This wedding is outside so keep that in mind when choosing your clothing. Dress code is casual and we encourage you to wear fun patterns/colors. Bonus points if your belly button is showing, fellas. Some folks might choose to bring a change of clothes for the active parts of the day. You will definitely want to have shoes you can walk/run in comfortably. No cleats for soccer, please!
We recommend arriving to Mt Tabor park by 1:30 pm. You may have to find street parking if the lot is full. From the visitor's center parking lot, the walk to the summit takes about 10 minutes.
Mt Tabor is a special place for Geoff and Fedora. It is an urban park we have enjoyed going to for years because it has beautiful views of the city, an off-leash dog park, and is a great place to hike with friends. For all the day's events, we will be at the summit of Mt Tabor which is about a 10 minute hike from the main parking lot. There are bathrooms at the summit and also at the parking lot.
There are several options to get to the summit of Mt Tabor (see map). There will be signage helping guide you up from the visitor's center parking lot. When in doubt, keep walking upwards, and you will get to the summit eventually :)
We will be able to give people rides to the top if needed. Let us know if you foresee yourself needing a ride to the summit and we will coordinate with you!
We will have a food truck with options for vegans and gluten-free folks. BYOB please!
There is a parking lot by the visitor's center. If you are using Google Maps, type in Mt Tabor Visitor's Center to get to the parking lot. It may fill up, in which case there is street parking options as well. Plan to get to Mt Tabor early in case the parking lot is full! The hike to the summit from the parking lot is about 10 minutes.
No money is needed. We ask you BYOB and feel free to bring snacks if you like!
We ask people to refrain from taking pictures during the ceremony but feel free to take pictures during the events that follow!
Please RSVP by April 6th!
In place of gifts, we are asking guests to help us make the party happen by doing one of the following: bring beer/wine/cider/non-alcoholic drinks, bring camping chairs/crash pads to lounge on, or sign up to volunteer.
The idea is teams of 5 (we will balance them, don't worry!) play against each other in a bracket. Each game will be about 8 minutes long.
Yes! We will likely have our dogs there as well.
