Vincenzo Bellini Catania Airport (Fontanarossa)
This is the airport you will be landing at (CTA), and it is about a 2 hour drive from Kaukana, the town where our wedding will take place. You have a couple options to get to the area: 1) Rent a car straight from the airport. Please note, if your Airbnb is located in Marina di Ragusa, you will need to contact your Airbnb host to request a pass to drive and park in the town. 2) Take the public bus from Catania airport to Santa Croce Camerina Via Puglisi through the Etna Trasporti website - linked below - ($11.50 or €9.20 for one way). The drop off location is an 8 minute drive to the wedding venue. 3) Take the public bus from Catania airport to Marina di Ragusa Via Benedetto Brin through the Etna Trasporti website - linked below - ($11.50 or €9.20 for one way). The drop off location is a 15 minute drive to the wedding venue, or a 10 minute bike ride. 4) Arrange a private shuttle service with your Airbnb host to pick you up from the airport; this will be at an additional charge. Please note that all the hotels and Airbnb's linked are located either in Kaukana or in Marina di Ragusa. When arriving from the airport by bus, the drop off spot in Marina di Ragusa Via Benedetto Brin will be a walkable distance to the linked hotels in the area, whereas the drop off spot in Santa Croce Camerina Via Puglisi is about an 8 minute drive from the Airbnb's linked in Kaukana. While we recommend both areas, we would like to point out that Marina di Ragusa has a more lively atmosphere as it is surrounded by restaurants, bars, and shops. Please see below for a list of Airbnb's and hotels we recommend for either Kaukana or Marina di Ragusa.
