On to the next adventure!

Like many modern love stories, Jess and Zach met on a dating app. Their first date was at Aslin Brewery, where two beers turned into a deep dive into family, travel, concerts, tattoos—and, of course, Jess’s dog, Macie. Jess suggested a third beer, but Zach politely declined. As they hugged goodbye, Jess was pretty sure that was the end of it. She was wrong. Not long after, they had their second date. Zach cooked store-bought pasta with a homemade sauce, which Jess pretended to love for six months before admitting it didn’t quite meet “sauce girl” standards. She promptly dubbed him Pasta Boy. Still, that week they went on three dates—and neither of them ever went on a “first date” with anyone else again. Despite the flavorless sauce, things took off quickly. Concerts, meeting the friends, movie nights (Zach now likes scary movies!). Life started blending together seamlessly. On Halloween 2022, they officially became boyfriend and girlfriend—Zach wore elf ears, and Jess was the iconic frag-i-lé leg lamp from A Christmas Story. Since then, they’ve made years of memories: -Traveling to Vegas to see Taylor Swift -Hiking Angel’s Landing in Zion -Wandering ten miles through the Hoh Rainforest -Floating down the Shenandoah River every Summer with friends -Moving in together -Dressing up as Jim Carrey characters for Halloween -Snorkeling with sea turtles and stingrays in Hawaii -And becoming their own little family of three (still talking about Macie, of course) In April 2025, during a two-week trip to Hawaii, they stumbled upon an impromptu bamboo forest hike on the Road to Hana. Deep in the trail—surrounded by nothing but bamboo, a peaceful creek, and the hum of nature—Zach turned to Jess and said he had a question. After some fumbling through his backpack, he pulled out a ring (from a sock). He gave a heartfelt speech that neither of them can fully remember—but Jess definitely remembers saying “Yes!” They couldn’t wait to tell Macie, family, and friends, who were just as thrilled. Now, as they look ahead, they’re excited for even more adventures—visiting loved ones across Texas, New Jersey, and beyond, hitting the jackpot at a casino (please just once!), and hopefully buying a home. But first, they’d love for you to join them to celebrate—with dinner, spicy margaritas (her fave), manhattans (his fave), all the desserts, and a night on the dance floor!
