Our Story

High School Sweethearts

The two lovebirds met when they were just 12 years old in St. Patrick’s children's choir. They became friends making jokes in between songs and sharing cough drops during church homilies. Three years later they enjoyed their first date at the Cortland Town Center movie theater where they saw a movie and took pictures in the photo booth; which became a tradition every year for their anniversary. The relationship grew over the years in high school. The two supported each other in their studies and extracurriculars. From math tutoring to play rehearsal they always found a way to be together. Then came college and the couple had to learn to be apart for the first time. Hours were spent on buses and at NYC port authority, but the couple stuck it out and became stronger for it. After 4 years of college Matthew had graduated and they celebrated their seventh anniversary together. Matthew planned a weekend trip to New York City. It took some convincing to make Jenny believe there was no proposal planned, but being the lovable gullible girl she is Matthew was able to play it off. The morning of their second day in the city the two took a trip to central park. It was the end of December, but the weather was beautiful. Sunny, mid 60 degree day. When they reached the duck pond the couple stopped and Jenny realized what they were doing there. Matthew got down on one knee and asked the love of his life to marry him. A dream they both waited for a long time to come true. Now since they are getting hitched we all get to celebrate their happily ever after!
