Matthew and Elizabeth met one weekend when Matthew was in Fayetteville for the NCAA Indoor Track National Championship (he's a very fast middle distance runner). They decided to go on a date after he competed and knew they had a lot in common and would like to continue to get to know each other even though they lived 3 hours away from each other. They decided to keep in touch after the first date and take it one day at a time. When Elizabeth's Spring Break plans fell through Matthew suggested she visit Stillwater, OK where he was living at the time. After the short visit the couple knew there was much more there than a friendship and decided to take a chance and try long distance.
On a cool, windy, Las Vegas afternoon the couple exchanged vows in the Juno Garden at Caesar's Palace. After their ceremony they took photos in the North Gallery at the Neon Museum, Elizabeth's favorite place in Las Vegas. While they know most of their friends and family weren't physically at the ceremony they knew all their loved ones were there in spirit. The couple can't wait to celebrate their marriage with all their friends and family at the reception!
