We met when Alice, having moved from Connecticut to Atlanta, had her first day at a new job. Faye had been working there for a year, and up until that point, had been shy about talking to their co-workers. Both of them wondered when they started this job, "What if I had an office romance? No, that would never happen!" But, once they met, Faye knew this could be it. Alice was oblivious to Faye's feelings at first, but when Faye asked her out on August 31st 2019, she accepted. In the four years since, the two have grown in so many ways together, and truly couldn't imagine life without the other.

It was a lovely autumn day and Faye had woken up early to prepare wonderfully baked treats for our guests. They were throwing a Fall Party to celebrate the autumn season and watch one of our favorite series, Over the Garden Wall. Dear friends had come over and some brought their own gifts of treats, again, all in the shared joy of the season and good cartoons. Alice was none the wiser to what Faye had actually cooked up for the party. After much merriment, Faye invited Alice to the front of their kitchen for an announcement. Alice thought it was to bring attention that her birthday was only a few days away. While that was fact, Faye's true intentions were revealed when they got down on one knee. In utter surprise, Alice's jaw dropped and tears filled her eyes as she swung her arms around Faye in an excited embrace. "YES! Of course, I will! Yes!" smattering Faye's cheek with kisses.
