3 strikes you're out or 3rd times a charm?

Dave's take: How many times would you ask a person out on a date?? Once, twice, three times a lady... After some prodding and nudging, she finally gave me the green light to meet her. Gesh!! Seemed harder than getting a loan at a bank, right. LOL! We decided to meet up at a new local bistro for our first date. Anxious, nervous, excited; I sat there waiting patiently. Then, BANG! She walked in. She glowed with beauty and a touch of a grace. A stunner noticed by most the restaurant. We chatted and sipped on wine getting to know each other (a theme that would become etched in our relationship). Days turned into weeks, weeks to months; and finally, we sobered up! HaHa. We spent as much time as possible getting to know one another. We did countless activities together. Fawn has quite the social life, which was a change for me. We spent time going camping, enjoying various restaurants, and taking trips around the nation. From Seattle, California, Texas, to Pennsylvania. Even took a week in the Virgin Islands! And through all of it, we had a close-knit group of people, which without, our lives would be empty. After a few years together, we decided to take the next step, and move in together. Time to put my money where my mouth is right! Dating is great, but you always have to say goodbye at times. Now that we shared a home, it was wonderful to say goodnight, curl up, and go to sleep. Life was perfect!! After a while living together, I began to believe that we could be an amazing match that might stand the test of time. So, on an evening in April, at a wine gala (go figure huh), I took a chance and asked this beautiful woman to spend her life with me. And she said yes!! WHEW...... This brings us to now. We are so happy that you all are going to be there with us, as we say our "I do's", and become Mr. and Mrs. Anderson. Thank you for joining in the beginning of our next adventure! Now, Fawn's view of it all... Well, Dave just had bad timing. He always asked me out when I was taking a break from dating. But he kept asking. So finally, the 3rd time he asked, I agreed to meet him. I thought, I'll go out with this guy, and he'll know then that he doesn't like me, and I don't like him, and we can go on our way. When I walked into Craft and Gather, I was very pleasantly surprised! He was so handsome and easy to talk to and funny and of course he knew the bar tender too. I liked him! I had a fun, full life that I wanted to share with someone, and I wondered if he might be the one who would join me on my adventures. Dave is a willing victim and awesome copilot. He goes along with all the adventures and makes them even more fun. And we certainly do enjoy our wine. Lol. But what Dave does best is grounds me. He's the yin to my yang. When I get too much for even myself, he is my steady rock that calms me and brings me back to focus. He took his sweet time to propose to me, so when he finally did it at the wine gala, I was shocked! And it was perfect. He still doesn't get all his mail at our house, so I tease him about being half in and half out. But the truth is, he's ALL in. Not a day goes by that he doesn't make sure I know his love for me. So, for me, the 3rd time was the charm! Celebrating this wonderful love we found in each other with our amazing group of friends, who have been there from the beginning, and our families is a blessing and an honor.
