It may sound unromantic to you, but we often joke about how neither of us remember the first time we met. Favour was just a girl who knew Zach, and Zach was just a boy who knew Favour. Sure, we were friends because we both played soccer, but we had no reason to remember the first time we laid eyes on each other. Little did we know that God had a surprise for us that we didn't see coming. Like any teenage drama movie, our love started in a classroom. We gravitated toward each other in a random Spanish class on the fourth floor of Demoss Hall at Liberty University, not because of any secret love or attraction, but because we just didn't know anyone else in the class. Our persistent Spanish teacher, Professor Barber, insisted that we were "made for each other." Many times, he awkwardly assumed we were dating, and would announce it in front of the entire class. His persistency paid off. Though we learned no Spanish whatsoever that semester, we found each other at the most unexpected time. On July 20, 2022, Zach asked Favour to be his girlfriend on the tall summer grass at the peak of Cole Mountain. Almost a year and a half later--after many adventures, dates, laughs, and cries--Zach bent his knee and asked Favour to marry him at the Carolina Hotel in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Now, we hope you can attend our wedding, where we pronounce our love for each other before you and our Almighty God. We praise God already for the mighty things He will do through us. To Him be the glory forever! Inscribed on Favour's engagement ring is the Scripture 1 John 2:17. This is our prayer for us and our future family. We pray that we listen fervently to the Lord's calling as He uses this union for His purpose. It drives our relationship every step of the way: "The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever."
