If you are looking for longer-term accommodation, there are plenty of options in Bonn, or, if you'd like to stay in a bigger city, Cologne. Travel to and from the venue won't be a problem from these places, and we are happy to assist with this if you'd like! There are also some options in Bad Hönningen itself if you would like to stay closer to the venue. Reach out to us if we can offer any help!

Arrival & ground transportation

Arenfels Castle is just a few minutes' drive away from the A3 and A61 motorways. By train, guests can reach the hotel via Bad Hönningen train station. With a direct train connection to Cologne/Bonn Airport, the distance to the nearest airport is just under an hour's drive. There are many options to get around in Bonn and the surrounding areas. You can use Uber, as well as an app called FreeNow which is used by licensed taxis (and therefore usually more expensive than Uber). In the cities, rental bikes (NextBike) and electric scooters (Dott, Bolt, Voi.) are readily available for shorter journeys. If you plan to use public transport extensively, the Deutschland-Ticket offers unlimited travel on all public transport throughout the country for only EUR 58/month. You can purchase and use the ticket via the Deutsche Bahn (i.e. German Rail) app: https://www.bahn.de/angebot/regio/deutschland-ticket If you'd like to rent a car, there are options available in Cologne-Bonn, Dusseldorf, and Frankfurt airports.
