Will this be a wedding ceremony?

Answer

We got married in 2023, but did not have an opportunity to celebrate with friends and family. We are using this event to renew our vows and celebrate with everyone!

What type of wedding will this be?

Answer

While we will be incorporating elements of a modern American wedding and an Afghan wedding, it will be neither. We will bring in our own flavor with inspiration from both.

What time does the event start?

Answer

We will be starting the ceremony promptly at 4:00 PM without delay. Please arrive to the venue no earlier than 3:30 PM.

Will there be alcohol served?

Answer

No. This will be a non-alcoholic, dry wedding.

I did not see a list of foods to choose from in my RSVP, what are my choices?

Answer

We will be catering a buffet-style Afghan feast! There will be a variety of food, including vegetarian options. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Question

Is there going to be music and dancing?

Answer

Yes, after dinner we will have Afghan and American music with dancing. Guests who do not prefer music or dancing are welcome to enjoy dinner and exit the venue at their own discretion.

Which airports are the closest to the venue?

Answer

The closest airport is Dulles International Airport (IAD). Reagan International Airport (DCA) is another airport in the area, though a little bit further away from the venue.

Will there be any other events outside the wedding date?

Answer

Maybe. We may do a spontaneous gathering either Friday and/or Saturday to hang out with everyone before the big day. We will keep everyone updated on all available communication.
