Schedule for the evening: 4:30pm-05:00pm: Baraat A baraat is a celebratory wedding procession for the groom involving music and dancing. We welcome all guests to join Sharaz for his baraat. Please note, that while short, this event is outside. Nikah Ceremony: The Nikah ceremony is the Muslim marriage ceremony. In the Islamic tradition, the marriage contract is signed during the Nikah and it's during this event that the bride and groom say, “I do.” Cocktail Hour Reception 10:15pm: Rukhsati Rukhsati takes place when the groom and the bride leave together. This is a momentous occasion for the bride’s parents as it marks the departure of their daughter from their home. The departure of the bride becomes a very emotional scene as she says farewell to the home of her parents and siblings to start a new married life.
