It all began with a DM .. we spoke casually and as friends. One day he just said to me "marry me already" and I responded with, "well why don't you just ask me out on a date first and lets discuss marriage on the second date" and the rest is just history!

On our 1 year Anniversary Shahed had a special surprise date planned for us. We went to Central Park and he took me up to a gazebo "A Treehouse For Dreaming" and I remember thinking how cold it was, how I was going to walk up this icy, muddy hill but when I got to the top I looked to my right and I notice a friend taking our pictures and when I looked back at Shahed there he was on one knee and he said "1 year ago today I asked you to do the honor of being my girlfriend, 1 year later I ask you to do me the honor of being my wife" I absolutely said YES and out came all of our closest friends and family to surprise and celebrate one of THE happiest days of our lives. Truly a day filled with so much love and joy.

On this day, before our families and friends in the house of Allah we vowed to be together, love each other unconditionally and begin this journey of life together. To see the happiness on each others faces, and the joy our loved ones also exuded made this THE most special day of our lives. And now the journey continues....
