It's Alaska. We know how exciting it is to visit, and we are glad we are your excuse to come up! Here are a few ideas if you plan to come early or stay late and want to explore the wonders of Alaska.

Ian and Shannon frequently go to AWWC, and cannot recommend it enough for folks who want to see all sorts of Alaskan wildlife (safely).

Denali National Park and Preserve

Interested in seeing the tallest peak in North America? Then head up to Denali National Park. It is about a 4-hour drive, but there is plenty to see and experience along the way!

Dog Sledding Tours

There are a bunch of different companies that offer dog sledding tours and experiences. There may not be snow on the ground, but they will still show you a great time!

This ski-lodge is great for a scenic view of the Turnagain Arm. You can't go skiing, but you can take the lift up and get a great view! They also have a Nordic Spa, if you want to pamper yourself!

The Alaska Railroad

The train runs to Seward and back, or to Denali and back. Tickets sell FAST, so if you are interested in booking a train ride? Make sure to hop on it!

Tony Knowles Coastal Trail

Ian and Shannon had a date (very early in the relationship) that involved renting bikes and riding the 13-mile trail! There are plenty of bike shops, should you be interested in renting and riding the trail.

There are TONS of companies that offer a variety of plane and/or helicopter tours. They will go to a lot of different places, and can range in duration!
