The Wedding Website of Katie Jalee Eiler and Christopher Dawson Farris

In preparation for our very far out of town wedding, we have some recommendations for guests. Based on where the wedding and region is, we highly recommend renting a car unless you are staying in the city centre of the close by town of radicondoli, which can be accessed from Florence by bus. For car rentals we suggest using GoYouItaly.com or a typical American company such as Hertz. Both can be picked up at the airport, or GoYouItaly also has a pickup spot near the train station which is closer to Florence City Centre. If you rent a car you NEED an international drivers license which can be easily purchased from AAA. Über and Lyft are not a thing in this area so a taxi may be able to take you some places, but it’s not a good idea to bet on being able to find one. A bus will be able to take you close to the town, but be aware that of where it stops and the distance to your final destination. The roads there are not for walking.

This Villa is only a 10 minute car ride our wedding venue. A shuttle will be doing a pickup at this location and is highly suggested as our best option for you.

Flight

Florence Airport (FLR)

This is the closest place to fly into, with it being about an hour from the villa. You can also fly into Aeroporto di Siena. The runway at this airport is VERY short so don’t be surprised when it’s a very bumpy landing.

Train

Train from Florence to the Villa

High Level Directions (which can also be done on google maps): From the airport, walk to the Pergola Aeroporto Tram stop; Take the (T2) Tram to Alamannu - Station Santa Maria Walk to the Florence Bus State; Take (131 to Siena-Via Tozzi) Bus getting off on the stop Colle V. Elsa (V.Bilenchi) Get on Bus (120 to Belforte) and get off on the Loc. Pennano stop. From there it's a 15 minute walk or an uber to the villa.
