This is one of our favorites! Inside is an upscale restaurant with amazing food. Outside has a more relaxed beach bar vibe, often featuring live music on weekends! Food is more casual outdoors: think tacos, raw bar, and some asian-fusion specials. The special part is that it is right on the water, and they'll let you take your drink down and put your toes in the sand and ocean. Bundle up at night time!
Amazing spot in Hyannis, lower/mid-Cape. Right on the water. The menu has many seafood options and a great swordfish sandwich. Kate & her dad have had many laughs at the bar waiting on takeout orders. Friendly bartenders and service! Get there early, it fills up quick.
The Cape is filled with mini-golf spots, this is the best. Great for kids, fun pirate theme. Farrell family has been going here for decades! Located in mid-cape, Yarmouth.
Take the Hy-Line Ferry out of Hyannis to Nantucket for shopping, neat restaurants, and sight-seeing. (Hour long ferry ride). Check out the Chicken Box for a drink, or Cisco Brewery. Brotherhood of Thieves, The Nautilus, Dune, and Fresh are great places to eat. Check out the Whaling Museum- it's impressive and exciting- a must see for families and history buffs!
The Farrell Gals nearly won the MV half marathon last May due to Doug spearheading the organization of the Farrell Girl Fan Club (he made shirts for the Farrell men to wear). Catch a ferry out of Hyannis to get to the island in about an hour. Martha's Vineyard is less elite than Nantucket, but still offers cute shops and restaurants. Whatever you do, don't start chants in "Linda Jean's" restaurant, you will be ejected. Even if you have a medal.
One of the Cape's oldest and most scenic golf courses. Highland Links is a public links course right on the ocean. It's a long drive up to Truro, but also lands you closer to Truro Vineyards & P-Town. Kate & Doug had a great experience golfing this 9 hole course! The ocean views are unparalleled.
