Why not just postpone?

Answer

We certainly entertained this idea a lot when deciding what to do. Our main reason was that we weren't sure when things would be going back to normal and with our busy school and work schedule, keeping the same date seemed like the most logical thing for us to do. It took a lot of coordinating to get this time off and since we have been engaged for a couple of years, it felt right to keep this date.

Will there be a reception in the future?

Answer

At this time, we have not planned a future reception. As we both live in Indiana, the wedding itself was difficult to coordinate. Of course this does not mean we will never have a reception, but it is something we will have to think about planning once we move back to Oregon.
