What can I expect from the Saturday (11/19) event?

Answer

We are getting married in an intimate ceremony earlier in the week, but still want to celebrate our love with friends and family. Our Saturday event will be a casual take on a wedding reception. We will have food trucks, live music, a country dancing class, yard games and an open bar. Please arrive in comfortable clothing and be ready to explore the 10 acre property.

Do you have a hotel room block?

Answer

We unfortunately do not have a hotel block. We recommend using Airbnb and/or VRBO if you want to stay near the ceremony site or downtown Austin as it tends to be the most affordable option - especially if you are traveling in a group! We will have hotel recommendations on our travel page. We will also have a chartered bus to and from downtown the day of the event.

What is the best mode of transportation to arrive at the venue? [For guests staying in their own accommodations]

Answer

There is no parking at the venue unless you are staying on the property. We will have a bus scheduled from downtown Austin to the wedding reception site on 11/19/22 (details below). If you are staying in Dripping Springs, we recommend taking an Uber/Lyft to the venue. Average Uber/Lyft price to and from Dripping Springs is $40 from the AUS airport & downtown. Bus Pickup/Drop Off Location: Sanchez Elementary (73 San Marcos St, Austin, TX 78702) Bus Departs the Downtown Area at 12:00pm Last Bus Leaves Venue @ 6:30pm

What is the best mode of transportation to arrive at the venue? [For guests staying on the reception-site property]

Answer

If you are staying at the reception property site, you are welcome to park your car where you are lodging. A rental car could be helpful to get around if you are interested in exploring, but is not required. There are no walkable grocery stores from the reception venue site, but there are a handful of distilleries nearby. Average Uber/Lyft price to and from Dripping Springs is $40 from the AUS airport & downtown. Because you are staying on site, you can walk to the pavilion the day of the Saturday event.

Is this an adults only reception?

Answer

Yes! For the safety of our guests, all attendees and +1's should be over 21.

What is the attire?

Answer

Smart casual attire for Saturday encouraged. There are rocky surfaces and uphill inclines on property. Closed toe shoes recommended! For example, the bride will be wearing a short white dress with cowboy boots and the groom a long sleeved shirt, jeans and cowboy boots. Come comfortable!

What is the weather this time of year in Austin?

Answer

It can vary. Expect lows in the 40's/50's and potential highs in the 70's. The celebration will be during the warmest hours of the day, so we are hopeful that the weather will be pleasant. We will update as we approach the date.
