Welcome to Northwestern Ontario!
We're excited for guests to experience some of the best the area has to offer. Summer is a great time to come with long days and warm weather.
We recommend that you tailor your experience to the amount of time you are able to spend here. We've broken it down here:
1-3 Days: Kakabeka Falls (Water falls 30 mins drive west of Thunder Bay), Mount McKay (A beautiful look out on the Fort William Reserve South of Thunder Bay), and local attractions such as the Sleeping Giant Brewery, Marina Park area.
4-7 Days Plus: Sleeping Giant Provincial Park ( 40 mins drive north of Thunder Bay - a stunning park with walking trails and overnight options.
For kids and big kids:
Fort William Historic Park ( A recreated fort from the voyager days approx. 15 mins from Thunder Bay); Gammondale Farm/ Beluze Farm (Fun place for a farm experience approx. 20 mins from Thunder Bay.)
