A peak at our engagement photos
Little did we know that our worlds were colliding way before we ever actually met in person. In 2007, unbeknownst to either of us, our fairytale love story was beginning. In a weird twist of fate, Brian’s girlfriend at the time and Sara’s ex-boyfriend were friends taking group prom photos together. Through these pictures on Facebook, Sara developed a little crush on a young and cocky Brian. It took 13 years for us to eventually connect online and have our first date at Boardroom Spirits in Lansdale. We have different recollections of that first date, with Sara thinking it was a little awkward and that Brian was a little quiet at first (in hindsight, this is quite shocking in and of itself, if you know anything about Brian) and Brian thinking it was a hit right from the start (sigh...boys). However, by the end of the night, there was a genuine connection over cheese curds and drinks at Stove and Tap. Brian broke his own rule of not asking a girl out on a second date during the first date, but he couldn’t resist. We saw each other the next night to play twenty questions and get Nifty Fifty's milkshakes (yum). Two months into our relationship, the world shut down because of the pandemic and we quickly spent a lot of time together binge-watching Marvel movies, Game of Thrones and lots of other shows. Brian quickly moved into wearing sweatpants during our dates and we spent time cooking together and trying new food. We grew to know each other on a deeper level during that time and together we have grown and had lots of adventures. We share a love of Philadelphia pretzels and TastyKakes, Philadelphia sports (Go Birds!), going on adventures, taking beach trips, experiencing new things, cooking together, trying new foods and of course, Disney (Brian being a new convert). Brian knew Sara's love of Disney and Paris and decided to combine these two things together with the perfect proposal at the France Pavilion in Epcot. Disney was a magical adventure filled with early morning rope drops, rides, yummy food, pictures and overall, just happy moments of being together. Little did Sara know that there was lots of behind the scenes magic to create a beautiful and memorable proposal in front of the Eiffel Tower in Epcot. When Brian popped the question, Sara could not stop shaking and in all honesty, isn't even sure that she said yes (SPOILER: She did!).
