It’s been six beautiful years and I can still remember the exact moment I saw her. It all kind of begins with my career path in the restaurant industry. I was asked to help open up a restaurant with the family I had been cooking for, as the chef of a little Italian place in Flower Mound, Texas. Farin had also moved to the same town, I believe a year prior, as well, for her work in Product Design. She had been frequenting the restaurant here and there and as the story goes with a restaurant bar, there are usually patrons that stay for late drinks and food. I’m usually getting the kitchen prepared for the next day after a busy rush, so I don’t make it out to the front too often. That one fateful night though, I decided to grab an after shift beer and catch up with guests at the bar, and then I happen to see a funny, gorgeous, upbeat soul in an army green camo jacket, chatting away at the bar with one of the owners. I introduced myself and we all just talked for hours. It undoubtedly felt like it was a right place, right time kind of moment when I learned about her journey that brought her to me. I remember talking about music the first night and then the conversations came so effortlessly the more we saw each other. I’m really glad I decided to grab that beer, because it led me to the best woman of my life.
