Ironically enough, we both had a number of mutual friends in college (HOOK EM!) but never formally crossed paths. I (Farah) saw Yehia from afar from time-to-time and always thought he was EXTREMELY good-looking, but that's where it started and ended :) Fast-forward to a decade later, we both happened to be at Handlebar on east 5th (RIP, we love/miss you!!!) after work one evening, and had a quick exchange. I then slid into Yehia's DMs (yes I did that!!), asked him to hang out, and the rest is history! As many of you know, the two of have us have strikingly different personalities, and the beginning was a huge adjustment, especially since up until that point, neither of us had ever experienced full-fledge relationships where the other person was fully embedded in our lives. After only 7 months, we were living together, and eventually experienced the pandemic together from that same one-bedroom apartment (shoutout to US!). In that time, we experienced each other in our rawest forms, during which we learned the beautiful meaning of balance. We're happy to say we continue to learn new things about each other every single day, even after 4 years. Our love for each other is so deeply rooted and special, and oftentimes we can't believe how lucky we are to have found someone who loves us fully, without any reservations or judgement. . We are best friends, who spend most of our time either obsessing over our fur-babies, catching a live show, binging on true crime shows, swimming in the Greenbelt, or researching the best restaurants to eat at. Our love language is food, and we believe that a good meal is what differentiates a mediocre day from an incredible day :) We also feel so incredibly thankful for the network of family and friends that we've managed to grow with in the last 4 years. Thank you for loving us and supporting us, we love you! Here's to our two cultures AND personalities merging into one :) We can't wait to see everyone soon! Farah & Yehia
