We met in what felt like the most ordinary way — through a dating app for singles with children — yet nothing about our story turned out to be ordinary. In fact, our relationship almost never happened. One of us had planned to delete the profile entirely and only responded out of courtesy, not wanting to leave the other on read. What we didn’t expect was how quickly the reply would come, or how naturally the conversation would begin to flow. What started as simple exchanges soon grew into meaningful conversations. The more we talked, the more intrigued we became with one another, discovering an ease and connection neither of us anticipated. Before we knew it, feelings developed quickly, and we found ourselves falling for each other — effortlessly and sincerely. Early on, we realized something profound: our shared faith in God wasn’t just important, it was foundational. Faith was already woven into both of our lives, and naturally, we began to worship together. Our relationship became a place where God was welcomed, honored, and truly present. One Sunday, during a sermon series titled “Get Your Ship Together,” Pastor Brandon delivered a message that deeply moved us both. In that moment — stirred by the Word and guided by conviction — we felt clarity and purpose. It was time to honor God fully and intentionally in every part of our lives. That moment became the turning point that led us toward forever. One of our most defining moments as a couple came through vulnerability and growth. When we spoke openly about the importance of counseling, it was met with openness, humility, and willingness — a true reflection of our commitment to building a healthy, God-honoring foundation. That moment strengthened our trust, deepened our partnership, and affirmed our shared intentions. Together, we cherish that we can worship side by side, grow spiritually together, and walk in alignment with shared values.
