Before the vows, the dress, and the forever, there was high school, a time where neither one of us were looking for a relationship… We met in the car pick-up line—Proof that true love sometimes starts with a racing heartbeat and a silly question of, “Are you always in the pick up line?” What started with shy smiles and hallway encounters somehow turned into a lifetime kind of love. From there, we found ourselves talking in a corner of our homeroom that we designated for ourselves, sharing laughs, whispering jokes, and having the kind of conversations that made two hours feel like two minutes—which, admittedly, often got us into trouble. What began as a cute, innocent crush slowly turned into something much deeper and more meaningful. As the years passed, we grew not only as individuals but together, learning more about each other and ourselves along the way. Over the years, our story had some unexpected plot twists. We separated a few times—each of us taking our own detours, growing individually, and discovering just how much God was preparing us to be the partners we needed to be for each other. Grace became my rock through some of life’s toughest “episodes,” including Army boot camp, showing me firsthand what steadfast love and faith really look like. I then went on to graduate college and navigate a career change that neither one of us expected going from policing to sales. Through every season of life, our bond continued to strengthen, shaped by patience, understanding, and genuine love. Now, here we are, living our favorite plot twist yet. Our love is spontaneous yet steady, funny and grounded, and every day we strive to love one another the way Jesus loves us—with grace, patience, and selflessness. From high school sweethearts to life partners, our story is proof that God’s timing is perfect, His faithfulness is constant, and sometimes love really does start in a car line with a silly question. -Bailey
