In late summer 2022, Simon and Fallon met on a Christian dating site. Simon's first message, "Hey Fallon, you have a great smile," drew her to his profile, and soon after the online love connection they made their relationship official. Fallon was initially attracted to Simon's name, Simon Peter, and his lively personality, while Simon admired her beautiful smile and clear sense of direction. As their relationship solidified they realized their hearts and values in God aligned and it was the beginning of something truly special. Over the next several months, their bond grew stronger. In July 2023, Simon gave Fallon a promise ring, symbolizing his commitment to working towards marriage. Fallon accepted, vowing to be a better partner and future wife. Their families and friends, supportive of the relationship, prayed for their journey together. Early in 2024, the couple began premarital classes, confident that marriage was their next step. They also joined Houston Faith Church, further strengthening their spiritual bond. In April 2024, the weekend after Easter, Simon planned a surprise proposal with Fallon's parents. Under the pretense that her grandmother needed care, Fallon rushed to her childhood home. There, surrounded by close family, Simon proposed, and Fallon joyfully said yes.
