We once were just acquaintances, who over time became great friends. We instantly connected as we realized we shared so many common interests, goals and even past struggles. As our bond grew, we both began to wonder if there was ever meant to be more between us. But it wasn't until a year later, the night of Superbowl XLIX, when The New England Patriots won against the Seattle Seahawks without us even knowing because our eyes were stuck on each other rather than the game. That's pretty much when we thought, "This is a win !"
On our third Easter together, we decided to take it upon ourselves to get both our families together, along with some friends for the holiday. We planned a huge barbecue at our local state park, The Highlands Hammock. Kids were playing, our families were sharing laughs, and pictures were being taken - our Easter was a huge success ! When all of a sudden everything went quiet, everyone gathered in a circle, phones out aimed front and center at us with nothing but smiles directly behind them. In such disbelief at whats going on, I look down to find him on knee, ring in hand, with a huge smile as he says "Will you marry me?" Tears flow, a smile shines through, as I say the greatest answer I've ever given in my life "YES ! "
We could not be more excited to celebrate our day of "Love and I do's" with each one of you.
