Listed below are some helpful questions for our guests in regards to #FallingInLovelace
Question

Where is the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

The ceremony and the reception are taking place at the same venue, The Belamour. It is a quaint Victorian style home that is a bed and breakfast. Also, the Belamour can be booked for intimate wedding ceremonies.

What is the attire/dress code?

Answer

The attire is "Sunday's Best" or brunch attire. For the men, button down shirts with a suit jacket and slacks (tie, bow-tie, or neither) and for the women, a dress, jumpsuit, matching separates are all fine; preferably medium-mid length dress or longer. Immediate family are to wear the wedding colors, golden yellow or cerulean/colbalt blue. All guests may wear the wedding colors or any other color expect for RED and WHITE.

What kind of food is being served at the reception?

Answer

In order to celebrate the brides' Caribbean background, we are having caribbean food, specifically Jamaican food. The wedding will be catered by Caribbean Hot Pot, a locally black owned restaurant chain. The main dishes will be your choice of either Jerk Chicken or Oxtails with the sides of rice and peas, plantain and cabbage.

Can I bring my child/children?

Answer

Due to limitations of guests due to Covid-19 and for piece of mind, this will be a child free wedding and reception. Please make whatever needed accommodations This will be an adults only event.

Are masks required?

Answer

YES. Masks are required upon entry. Just in case anyone forgets and for uniformity in ceremony/reception photos, we will be providing white masks upon entry.

Are we going to be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both! The venue is an indoor and covered outdoor space. The ceremony will take place in the covered outdoor space and the reception will be on the inside with the dance floor being outside.

Is a negative Covid test required?

Answer

Yes! Due to the growing Delta variant we have decided to make proof of a negative test required to attend the wedding. Please show result of a negative covid test 48-72 hours before the wedding day, 10/23/21. We strongly recommend for our guests to self test at any Walgreens or CVS to covid test, they are free and give results within 24 hours. Please either text or email confirmation of your negative test to Brandon and I, or show your results to the wedding coordinator upon arrival. Positive test means no attendance!

Is the reception table serve or buffet style?

Answer

The reception will be buffet style. Guests will be told when to get their food one table at a time. The servers and bartender will wear their mask.

Can I physically bring a gift?

Answer

Yes! Although we have two online wedding registries, Zola and Amazon, you are more than welcome to bring the gift instead. Zola and Amazon have options to purchase from the website and have it ship directly to us. We will also have a card box for envelopes/cards/cash.

When is the party over?

Answer

3:00 PM sharp! Due to this being a day time wedding and restrictions of the venue, the music stops at precisely at 3:00 PM. This will be a punctual event from start to finish.

Will there be an open bar or cash bar?

Answer

OPEN BAR! We want our guests to enjoy themselves. Don't be shy but drink responsibly! Our bartender will be serving up crafted cocktails as well as a limited option of spirits, mixers, wine and beer.

Where do I park?

Answer

The venue is in the middle of a residential area in the historic Houston Heights neighborhood. A few parkng spots are designated to the venue which will be occupied by the bridal party. There's ample street parking surrounding the venue and its adjoining streets. For those who may be concerned about parking, I would recommend Uber based on proximity to where you are staying while in town.

Are there hotel blocks for guests?

Answer

No. There aren't any hotel blocks reserved for our guests. However, there are a list of recommened hotels that would be in close proximity to the venue on the Travel tab of our wedding website.
