Hi! Due to the current circumstances, we are postponing our wedding! We want to thank you for all the love and excitement you've shared with us during this season! We really look forward to celebrating with you, but looks like we'll have to wait a little longer. We'll keep you updated as we decide on a future date :)
HIS It all started with a Christmas party! I saw her walk through the door and she caught my attention immediately! I only saw her from a distance that night, the only thing I said was goodbye but I really wanted to get to know her. I asked around to see who she was and lucky for me one of my friends was going to be her roommate! There would be a chance for us to see each other again. HERS I met Tony while wearing a green reindeer ugly sweater with jingle bells. When my friends and I stepped away to have girl talk they immediately brought up Tony! My takeaways were that he was so sweet, loved God, was obviously so handsome aka he was A CATCH, but he was also very picky and didn't date much. This all went right over my head as I was concerned about the potentially too goofy ugly sweater. When I met Tony that night, we didn’t say more than a goodbye...
HIS I eventually mustered the courage to ask Karen out on a date. One date turned into several dates but we thought it best to just be friends. We both seemed to go our separate ways in life from there. It was ten months later on January 1, 2019 when her roommates FaceTimed me and said I should try talking to her again and that we'd really be great together! I took their advice and shot her a Happy New Year text that day! The texts didn’t stop from there! 2019 was an incredible year where we got to know each other so well and began to plan forever together. HERS Like all good stories, ours has seasons. In season one, after the Christmas party, Tony started coming around more. After many group hangouts he asked me out in the most memorable way, in front of my DAD! We dated for a couple of months, but for whatever reason, it didn’t go as planned and we stopped dating. Season two started January 1st, 2019. I opened an instagram message from Arlene with a picture of Tony FaceTiming on Lilybeth's phone. I had no idea what they were up to, I just thought they were showing me how handsome Tony looked. At 2:13pm I got a text message from Tony and immediately screenshot it and sent it to the girls. I jokingly asked them what they had done and like good friends they giggled and shrugged. Tony and I haven’t stopped texting since. We started dating again and it only took a couple of dates until we were convinced that this was it! God has been so good to us, making days feel like months and months like years.
HIS We were headed to my parents house for a “casual” afternoon, going four wheeling. At the same time, her friends were on top of a hill that overlooks the strip; setting up a blanket, flowers, special photos and music. We went out on the four wheelers into the desert. As we turned back to my parents property there was a special place I needed to show her. We parked at the bottom of the hill and then made our way up to the top. It was in that moment that she could begin to hear the music in the background. It was time to propose! We got to the blanket, I got on one knee... and she said yes! HERS Tony always plans fun surprise dates for us so when we stopped by his parents to go four wheeling I wasn’t too suspicious, until he stopped and said he wanted to show me a view. At that point it was a 50/50 chance. As we climbed up a hill, I heard Johnnyswim playing in the background and my heart started racing. We got to the top and he got down on one knee! He proposed, and we laughed as he almost put the ring on the wrong finger. I looked around and my best friends were there! We celebrated and took pictures. We headed back to his parent's house and I asked him, “were all these cars here before?” He laughed and said he didn’t think so. Then I started to recognize the cars! He surprised me with an engagement party with our friends and family. This is our story and we are so grateful to have you all to share it with!
