No. The ceremony will be held at Dockside in Piedmont Park. DO NOT DRIVE STRAIGHT THERE! Please instead arrive at the reception site at The Glenn Hotel between 3:30–4:30, and park via the valet. Then gather in the lobby. Transportation will be provided to and from the ceremony site. Last bus leaves at 5 pm!
The ceremony is outdoors, but will have an air conditioned boathouse nearby for beverages, guest book, gift table, etc. The reception is on the rooftop of The Glenn Hotel. It is covered but also outdoors. Being that high means a LOVELY breeze will be flowing. Either way, PLEASE DRESS FOR THE HEAT! This is summer in the south, it's going to be hawt.
PLEASE dress for the heat. It will be hot. The ceremony is in the grass, so stilettos aren’t recommended. Although not classically formal, the reception venue is very chic, so think "cool cocktail."
Yes! We have several, spanning a variety of price points. Please refer to the "LODGING" section of the website for the discount links. You can also call any of the hotels directly and simply mention our wedding name to get the same discount. LAST DAY TO BOOK WITH THE GLENN HOTEL DISCOUNT IS JUNE 10!
Yes. Cold water and tea will be provided during the ceremony. There will also be a full, 4-hour open bar at the reception—drink up me hearties! Dinner is of course provided—but in a less traditional sense. There won't be any formal dining courses or seat assignments. It will be a "tapas, finger food, apps" style with small plates passed around on trays and available via a food table. Think spring rolls, sliders, tacos, etc.
You should RSVP as soon as you receive your invitation. Send back the perforated panel on the invite, writing the names of everyone who will be attending. The stamp is already provided. If you have any questions about your RSVP, please reach out to our wedding planner Kris Lavender - kris@krislavender or (470) 315-0729.
We are registered with Zola.com. Please view the "REGISTRY" tab of the website.
Absolutely! If there is no mention of a +1 on your invite, but you would like to bring one, please go ahead and do. We just ask only +1 per guest and no infants or children under the age of 14, unless your invite specifically says otherwise.
Unfortunately this is a baby/kid-free wedding. Unless specifically designated on your invite, we ask that no child under the age of 14 attend.
Don't worry. At the ceremony site, there is a boathouse nearby with AC and water/tea. And the reception has plenty of breeze, but if you ever get too hot, simply go down to your room in the hotel. OR if you don't have a room with the Glen Hotel, ask one of the planning staff and you can take a moment to cool down in one of the wedding party suites.
Yes of course! There will be plenty of seating, just less traditional wedding-wise. Think classic bar atmosphere: outdoor couches, 4-up tables, "high boy" bar tops, etc. Plenty of room to sit and enjoy—just without the awkwardness of being stuck next to someone you don't know all evening. Mix. Mingle. Be marry! :P
But of course! Strawberry with cheesecake mousse, lemon with Jack Daniels blackberry, and almond with raspberry Chantilly.
Yes! A small, 2-person live band will be performing from The Emerald Empire Band. We want to see everyone's best moves out there :P
Absolutely. If there are any other restrictions or severe allergies we should know about, please let our planner know at +1 (470) 315-0729.
