Sandy & Darius

Wedding Party

Meet the very special people standing by our side on our very special day.

Sally Nguyen

Maid of Honor

Sandy and I, although went to different colleges we met through our boyfriends at the time who attended her school. Throughout the years we became inseparable and when finally single at the same time, we took over the Boston night life! Sandy isn’t a friend, but a sister to me and I can not wait to stand by her side as she marries the love of her life.

Kapron Lewis-Moore

Best Man

Darius and I met in 2008, while doing a 225 bench press workout at Notre Dame. At the time I was sort of weak and guys half my size, doubled and tripled my reps! Lo and behold this, at the time, quiet shy guy who had the worst afro you had ever seen walks up to me and says, “Ya know…if maybe you didn’t turn up so much you could probably get a couple of more reps in.” I responded in my extra loud voice, “WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TALKING TO?” That was the first time anyone had ever insulted me and I thought to myself, this dude is real. Without even knowing me Darius cared and wanted the best for me and ten years later I'm still his biggest fan. One thing I know for sure is that Darius is an incredible human, but I’ll leave the rest of my rambling for the wedding.

Bridesmaid

Well, as the younger sibling, meeting Sandy for the first time is very hard to pinpoint exactly. I guess the story starts with the first time she laid her eyes on my beautiful baby-self. Technically we could call it a blind date. I suppose that is when she approved of taking me home as her little sister & sure did I get lucky. She was annoying, & the perfect amount of bossy just like everyone likes her. It was a treat, especially when she would run into my room & leap on my bed with those long legs of hers to wake me up on early yet not so early mornings during vacation. Besides these great characteristics I have grown to admire her. She’s a loving sister, friend, & the best role model. We've loved each other ever since, I swear its not forced, I have enjoyed my 26 years of it so far.

Trevon Wimberley

Best Man

Darius and I met back in high school, while both dating girls that just happened to be best friends. One day they asked us to go to their church event an hour away from where we lived. None of us had a car besides Darius (the brown intrepid) and he didn’t even have a driver’s licenses. Once I told my mom she said, “WHAT?...NO”. Eventually after talking about it she decided she needed to meet him before I could go. She approved and so we went. The very next day Darius was at my house and a part of my family. Ever since then, he’s been the closest person to me and I can call a brother.

Alexandra Rodriguez

Bridesmaid

Summer of 2010 before my freshman year of college, I received the most odd/random phone call. Sandy, who at the time I hadn’t met yet, was asked by our volleyball coach to call me since we both spoke Spanish. Fast forward to pre-season, I was super excited for practice. While getting ready for my first practice, I see this girl walk into the locker room, face full of makeup & complaining that her freshly painted nail was broken. I turned around & said, “You have to be kidding me, is this Sandy?”, & yes, it was…but, to be honest, we became inseparable after that. We would make sure we had the same classes, workouts, ate together, worked together & I even joined the lacrosse team with her. We have shared many unforgettable memories & went from being strangers to now SISTERS. #AgreetoDisagree

Ian Williams

Groomsman

Leslie and I were cool and all, but it didn’t jump off until 1138. I went from trying to find a roommate to move off campus with to gaining a lifelong friendship. A friendship that has carried on after our college years, which is when I started to learn how cheap he was. Leslie tried bringing the television we bought back in college out to San Francisco, which obviously ensued into an argument. He was a professional athlete living like he was trying to hold on to those last few Domer Dollars. All in all, I got nothing but love for my brother from another mother.

Glendalys Cordero

Bridesmaid

Sandy and I met in 2011 during our undergrad at Anna Maria College. We moved into a suite together without knowing one another. As I'm organizing and settling into my new room, Sandy comes in frantic and says “Glendanise (this is not my name) do you have a plunger?!” I was speechless for a couple seconds, laughed and said no. I don't remember exactly how Sandy solved this dilemma with the toilet, but what I do remember is from that dilemma forward we have solved them all together. “May this bitter wine make this soul less bitter” - forever wifey xo

Tyrell Atkins

Groomsman

Darius and I first met at Siegfried Hall at Notre Dame, before ultimately becoming roommates off-campus, along with Ian Williams and Kapron Lewis-Moore. We cooked far more often than what is typical of college guys. #1138

Mabel Vargas

Bridesmaid

Honestly, I actually can’t even remember when we first met, but it was a very long time ago. I do remember when our friendship started, sophomore year of college and the rest has been history. We’ve built so many amazing memories and I can’t wait to see what this chapter of your lives has in store for you both. I’m so happy to be part of the Fleming’s journey, love you guys!

Nate Palmer

Groomsman

Flem and I have been boys since our high schools days when we battled it out on Sundays at Main South to the football fields on Saturdays. Somewhere along the way, life and college happened and we lost contact, but reconnected while in the NFL, and it was as if we never lost touch.

Samantha Esteves

Bridesmaid

I met Sandy during our 2012 volleyball preseason, while she was a senior and I was a freshman. Sandy always had her hair, nails, and makeup done, the Goddess of AMC, us freshman would say. After that first week Sandy took me under her wing, I don’t know why, but little did she know she was going to be stuck with a weird, hick town girl forever. We clicked perfectly and created unforgettable memories; from our college days on and off the court, raves in NYC, milkshakes in Chicago, to teaching her how to play back yard hillbilly games and attempting to capture her proposal on camera. You will forever be my beautiful Spanish sister! I am beyond excited to be part of this special time. Congratulations, I love you both!

Brian Popek

Groomsman

I met Darius in 2004 at our high school freshman football camp back when he was a 5-star bowling recruit. Luckily, I convinced him to make football his #1 priority leading to waves of D1 offers, a State Championship, Super Bowl Championship and a 16 year+ friendship.

Amanda Hevy

Bridesmaid

It was love at first sight on the lacrosse field at Anna Maria College. From slamming sticks, to study sessions, our first apartment in Spencer, sketchy New York cabins, to unthinkable adventures, every picture of us shares a story and our album is only at the beginning. No stack of dishes is going to break this friendship. Congratulations Sandy & Darius, I love you.

Brandon King

Groomsman

I found it odd when Darius asked me to write something about when we first met because when I think back I can’t actually remember and not because it was insignificant, but because I feel like I’ve known him my whole life. I know we met through football, but that’s the last thing that comes to mind when hes mentioned. I can, without a doubt, say Darius has done nothing but make me a better man and I know I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for the person that he is. He is beyond caring, has the biggest heart and has taught me so much. Sandy you are winning! Darius you became a member of my family since we moved in together in 2015. I can’t wait to welcome our newest family member, Mrs. Sandy Fleming. I love you guys & am so happy to be a part of something that will last forever.

Jose Rivera

Usher

I was introduced to Sandy summer camp 09' of freshman year. Years have gone by and we’ve only become closer. Sandy has played multiple roles in my life and depending on the situation she has adjusted to what I’ve needed, whether that be a talk with one of the guys, a best friend's female opinion or that sisterly advice. We’ve had good times & have also driven each other crazy, but have always remained the same. After meeting D, I questioned who this guy was coming around trying to steal my biff, but as the years flew by, I’ve gained yet another real one. As time passes, I can see how they are like Henny & passion fruit (amazing together). I have no doubt this is a forever love. Not only do I have the realest best friend, but I gained a brother in the process.
