Dating apps work 100% of the time, at least from John’s perspective. After all, his first match was a beautiful strawberry blonde whose bio read in pursuit of magic. After several days of talking (and one reschedule that made John sweat bullets) the two met up for their first date at Lone Tree Brewing. Eileen walked in and her gorgeous smile immediately made John’s heart flutter under his slightly wrinkled Express polo (Eileen has made a lot of progress on civilizing him since then, but there is still work to do). The two instantly hit it off and a second date quickly turned into a third date to going steady to moving in to finally taking the plunge one beautiful night on the island of Crete. Along the way, they faced many trials and tribulations including: - A global pandemic and having to learn remote work (including teaching art remotely!) - Booking a beach vacation during a tropical storm - The reunion of Lady Gaga and Katy Perry (in costume form) - Concerts from the :thrift shop" to the Las Vegas “boulevard of broken dreams” - Eileen’s Irish dance making others green with envy - Eileen being super supportive during John’s various mid/quarter life crisis hobbies - The greatest Super Bowl ever Along the way, their understanding and love for each other grew both in the things they have in common (music, costumes, dancing/having fun, Canadian mystery shows, happy hour, cuddling) and the ways they balance each other. And from their humble brewery beginnings all the way to the heights of the Acropolis, each experience continued to forge the unbreakable bond they are excited to seal in front of the people most important to them. They are excited to kick off their next chapter, one that they truly believe will culminate in their happily ever after.
