Our story began on the campus of the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where fate brought us together for the first time outside of Starbucks. Falene was walking across campus, and Lee in his trusty Chevy, happened to be driving by. It was a simple moment, yet something clicked—a smile exchanged, a glance shared—and in that fleeting moment, we both felt a connection that neither of us could ignore. What seemed like a random encounter, turned out to be the start of something truly special. From there, our journey began and the rest as they say is history.

The proposal was the most beautiful surprise Falene could’ve ever imagined. After being apart for Easter, she flew back into Monroe, and Lee was waiting for her at the airport, looking dashing in a suit. He told her to change into a dress for a special dinner, but when she walked through the airport, her heart skipped a beat—dozens of friends and family were there, all gathered to witness the moment she’d been dreaming of. Surrounded by so much love, Lee got down on one knee and asked her to be his forever. It was a moment filled with joy, laughter, and the kind of love that only grows stronger when you have each other by your side, surrounded by the people who matter most.
