The Spring of 2017 was a season of change for Faith, she was moving into her own apartment and her parents were moving to the Carolina's, she was stressed and worried about what would happen next, little did she know that her happy ever after was already chatting with her through an app on her phone and she was about to let him slip through her fingers in the midst of her stress. TJ recalls the moment he realized she wasn't going to answer him, "I just really liked talking to her!" He would tell people, but he let it go, it's the way online dating tends to be, people come, they chat, they leave. So he let it go and continued on with his life. Faith stared at her phone nervously hovering over the send button, two weeks had passed since she had last spoken to TJ and she felt guilty for ignoring him for so long and she missed her late night conversations with him. Holding her breath she sent out an apology in the hopes that soon they could meet and then she waited... The rest you can say, is history!

TJ knew exactly how he wanted to propose to Faith, a beach proposal was exactly what he wanted to do. The hard part was figuring out how to go about making it special and a surprise, so he enlisted Faith's best friend Alisha to help him. Together they came up with an idea, to go back to the first beach TJ and Faith went to together and surprise her there. Alisha and Pam (another friend of Faith's) drove almost two hours to Ana Maria Island to create a beautiful proposal in the sand. They wrote it out using sea shells and decorated with lanterns and flowers. They then had to redo it after beach goers walked through it multiple times. TJ walked down the line of the beach with an exasperated Faith trailing behind him, he was trying to find the proposal spot and she was trying to figure out why he was walking a mile and not even in the direction of the water! But the moment her eyes landed on the words written in the sand, she began to tear up, not even giving TJ the chance to finish his sentence, she tackled him to the sand with a resounding "YES!"

Since the beginning, TJ and Faith could feel in their souls that this was different, that this was it. After the proposal they found that picking a date was near impossible, they wanted to be married, to take that magical step, but deciding the date was causing a lot of stress... So when they both went to Vegas during a visit with Faith's parents in Arizona, they knew this was the perfect time! So they picked up a marriage license and the dress and took off to The Little White Chapel to get married in a small elopement ceremony that had them both tearing up.
