We're Getting Married!

We met through my cousin Machaiah, when I was living in Charlotte, NC back in 2011 with my Uncle Steve and Aunt Audrey Miller. Michael would come over to the house occasionally. However, we only saw each other three times. After I moved back to South Carolina, I would browse Michael's Instagram from time to time. I always thought he was cute out of all of my cousins friends. He doesn't remember this but I remember when he and I would chat a little bit on the phone but there was no connection then. So we lost touch with each other. September 25, 2017 was a day that changed our lives. I had just got back on Facebook three days prior. On that day I was scrolling through Facebook and saw Michael's Facebook pop up. I added him on Facebook and messaged him to see how he was doing. We messaged back and forth all day. The end of that night, Michael asked me for my number. The next morning Michael messaged me and we have not stopped talking to each other from that day on. 6 year's apart turned into a lifetime.

Early on in our relationship, Michael and I knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. On May 17, 2019, I drove up to Charlotte, NC. I arrived to my aunt and uncle house and found a note addressed to me on their door step. Opened up the letter and noticed it was from Michael instructing me to get dressed and meet him at the Boardwalk. (Where he and I have had a lot of our dates.) Arrived at the Boardwalk and received a photo from Michael. It was a picture of He and I at one of our spots. Michael tells me he will meet me there. I get there and Michael never meet me there but I found another letter that had "My Past" on the envelope. Once i'm done reading it, Michael texts me another picture of he and I and instructs me to a new spot where we've been. This time Michael was there with a new letter that had "My Present" on the envelope. After I read it, we then walk around the boardwalk and feed the geese. At this point I'm curious to know what Michael is up to and thinking if he was going to propose. However, I was unsure because a few days prior, Michael had me thinking he was not going to propose until a later time. So as we are talking, we end up on a bridge. Michael looks at me and hand me another letter that had "Our Future" on the envelope. I open up the envelope and it's blank. I look at Michael and he starts to say the sweetest things to me. While i'm putting the paper back, Michael starts to kneel down on one knee and tells me that I'm his future. HE ASKS ME TO MARRY HIM! I was shocked that I almost forgot to say "Yes". It was such a sweet and special moment. Michael planned the whole thing with his best friends. He had a photographer ready and a dinner afterwards with all of our friends and family.
