Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be taking place outdoors at the Sunset Pavilion/Terrace at Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa in Young Harris, Georgia. When you arrive, we would love to help show you the way.

What do you mean by "semi-formal?"

Answer

Semiformal attire is an outfit that is dressier than what you'd wear to an office but not as dressy as a formal evening gown or tuxedo. For women, this could be a cocktail dress, pantsuit, or jumpsuit. For men, this could be a suit or a blazer and slacks. Most importantly, we want you to be comfortable! This is a Summer wedding, so prepare for the temperature to be somewhere in the mid-80s to mid-90s while the sun is still up.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Are cell phones/photos allowed during the ceremony?

Answer

We politely ask that you refrain from using your devices during our ceremony, and enjoy the moment with family and friends. We have hired a professional photographer that will be sure to snap photos of everybody throughout the event.

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to our wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We do have some blocks reserved nearby! Please refer to the "Travel" page for more information. If you do choose to book in one of our blocks, please book under the group name "Smith/Ring Wedding." Thanks!
