We met at our college church through a mutual friend. Both of us were very shy at first, but quickly became best friends after breaking the ice. We would always make fun of one another and our relationship was so light-hearted and natural. After being such close friends for three years and growing alongside with one another throughout college, we knew that our friendship was headed into another direction. And that maybe, it could be something more.

On our one year anniversary, we went back to where we had our first date: Brooklyn Bridge Park. He picked out this beautiful blue and white dress for her to wear and took her for a stroll along the East River. We stopped and he told her to look at a lock hanging on a fence that overlooks the Brooklyn Bridge as a distraction. The moment she turned around, he was down on one knee. She nodded "YES" through the tears and that was the start of our forever.

This one is for us. In the midst of graduating college, moving to a new city, and beginning to navigate through our new careers, we knew the timing was not right to plan an intimate celebration with our family and closest friends for this year. Instead, we decided to register our marriage in the courthouse. Yes, this may be an untraditional way of doing things, but we cannot imagine a more perfect way to start this journey called marriage with just us two and our love for one another.

We are eagerly waiting for this day where we get the privilege to celebrate with you. We are so excited to say "I Do" (again) in front of the ones who mean the most. See you in Lisbon, Portugal.
