They actually met twice a year apart; both while attending Cosumnes River College and both times due to a simple Achmed the Dead Terrorist sweatshirt. The first time was during history class when Johnethin walked in wearing the sweater and Faith commented that she loved the performer. The encounter was short lived but several months later they ran into each other again in the lunchroom. Once again Faith commented on the sweater Johnethin was wearing. This was the first of few months of conversations over lunch and games with friends, eventually leading to a first date before Faith left for vacation. Upon her return, the two were nearly inseparable and have grown closer and still love to watch Achmed and his friends perform. Dana Klipfel will likely take credit for this story as she was the one who gave Johnethin the sweatshirt as a birthday present in the first place.

Faith and Johnethin have had several adventures over the past years. The two found a joining love of puzzles, games and escape rooms. They have actually done so many that they are permanent loyalty members at Red Door Escape. The first game they attended together was called The Gift and since have successfully completed every room by themselves. Well... Johnethin decided to hatch the plan to propose during a revisit to their first event. He coordinated with the staff to create a custom puzzle hidden in the room for Faith to find and solve; only visible under the blacklights in a specific section. The staff were overjoyed to accommodate this as it was a first for them as well. The couple set off solving the room they had begun their relationship completing and when Faith finally was able to solve the puzzle and turned into the lights, Johnethin was waiting on one knee. She was speechless and managed a nod immediately followed by cheers from the staff watching on cameras. They still had to manage to escape the room before time ran out though which was a bit difficult with Faith being in shock.
