Our Story
So We Met In A Really Cute Way
on March 3, 2023
David & Faith met in the lobby of the ACE hotel in Brooklyn on March 3, 2023 at approximately 10:00PM eastern standard time. Faith was returning from a dinner and decided to get a nightcap in the hotel lobby. She positioned herself near a group of revelers and couldn’t take her eyes off of the most handsome mustachioed man from across the bar. Coming to meet friends ahead of a wedding celebration for which he was a guest the next day, David approached the group in the ACE lobby adjacent to Faith. He noticed the unbroken gaze of a blonde girl through her yellow tinted glasses. He walks over and smiles, put his arm around her shoulders and playfully asks how she knows his friends. She doesn’t, but they talk all night anyway. He even jokingly tells friends that she’s his plus one to the wedding tomorrow. Over the next three days they spent as much time together as possible had a heartfelt goodbye before David sent Faith off to the train to go back to Massachusetts, and he flew back to California.
The long-distance courtship
between San Diego, CA and Nantucket, MA
They called or texted every day for the next month and decided they must see each other again. Faith went to visit David in San Diego at the end of April. For their next trip, David flew to Nantucket for the week with Faith’s whole family and their friends. Faith offered him multiple weekends to choose from, but David does not shy away from a group. And he impressed the family, of course. Over the coming months, David took Faith to a few other weddings - this time as his actual plus one. They spend the next months flying back and forth, coast to coast, and falling more in love with each trip, concluding that it was very clearly love at first sight through the yellow tinted glasses.
The San Diego chapter
June 2024 to March 2025
Fast forward to June 2024, when Faith and her dog Bonnie moved out to California. David quickly fell in love with Bonnie too, and now they’re a real little family. A couple blondes, and a lot of long legs. David proposed on December 1st, when the families were all together for American Thanksgiving. Everyone was elated to hear the news! More coming soon...
