There is said to be a resort that is charming and amazing, where lone people wander, work, and vacation. Then, somewhere in the midst of their individual sanctuary, this unique resort plays cupid. People, who were never looking for a companion, nevertheless love, find it at Madden's on Gull Lake. This is where we met and besides all odds, fell cursed under the romantic magic of the resort...That and of course Tim's terrible sense of humor...and Faith's undeniable elegance.

It was the end of our final season at Madden’s on Gull Lake and we were in the transition of starting a new chapter in California. Faith began planning a trip, somewhere…anywhere before she began school. Tim was trying to explain to Faith he didn’t have any money for a trip. (while Faith kept thinking we just worked and saved all summer…How does he not have any money? What she didn’t know was he had purchased a ring with the extra income) She finally found super cheap tickets to France and explained to Tim, that it was fine if he couldn’t come but she was going with or without him. He examined the itinerary and realized it was well within his budget and secretly thinking…this was the perfect opportunity and she’ll have no idea! So, we hopped on that plane to Paris and after a full day of sightseeing, eating Parisian goods, and drinking wine, we went strolling along the cobblestone streets towards the Eiffel Tower in hopes we would catch the light show at the top of the hour. There are many details in between but we finally made it and while standing there amazed by the twinkling lights along the Eiffel Tower, Tim knelt down on one knee behind Faith. In our fashion, he naturally had to say something sarcastic and rude to make Faith turn back to comment on his behavior. However, she was in utter shocked at the sight. There on a Parisian, cobblestone street, next to the Seine and across from the Eiffel Tower, Tim and Faith went from dating to Engaged.
