We met through mutual friends our Freshman year at Patrick Henry College in Purcellville, VA. As our friend group grew stronger, a plot to get the two of us together developed. By the end of the first semester, their schemes had worked, and we began dating shortly thereafter. However, this was the exact moment when Covid hit, and Micah went back to South Carolina, while Faith returned to New Jersey. When we met, we actually bonded over our shared fondness for our home state of New Jersey. Micah grew up in Jersey until his family moved in his late teenage years. He has since had plenty of opportunities to return! In the fall of 2021, Micah changed his career path and went to Dive School. After graduating, Micah travelled the country and worked offshore on oil rigs for a year. During this time, our relationship strengthened despite long periods of zero cell service, time differences, and thousands of miles between us. Then, Micah transitioned from offshore to working on the East Coast. Our long-distance relationship continued as Faith was still in school. The past two years, we have only grown closer while navigating Micah's spinal injury and surgeries. Micah proposed just two days before his last surgery atop Hawksbill Mountain in Shenandoah National Park. After nearly six years of dating, we are overjoyed to start our next chapter in marriage.
