The Story of Us

First comes love, then comes a baby, then comes marraige.

She Said.....We met each other through mutual friends and didn't exactly get along at first. He stole my heart when he made it apparent that he wanted to be with me and only me. With a mutual love of board games, witty TV shows, and late night snacking, I fell pretty hard for Jack. After 2.5 years of dating, we found out we were pregnant with Watson and that changed our lives forever. I never knew I could love him more than I already did, but then I saw him with Watson. That was it. I knew from that moment on I wanted to spend forever with this man. Since then, he has become the best father (like I knew he would be), partner, and best friend. I love him endlessly and cannot wait to be his W I F E ! He Said.....We met through mutual friends when she was over at my house one night in college. I knew she was the one when all of my friends told me how impressed they were by her. They told me not to mess things up (which I did a time or two) and to hold on tight to her. Not only does she make me laugh, she also makes me want to be a better man. I cannot wait to marry her, I love her very much.

The Proposal

3.23.2019

Okay.. as someone who likes to think that people can't pull one over on them, I was completely blindsided by his proposal! Jack had talked to my dad, Dean, in December and asked him for my hand while enjoying a beverage or two over a game of cribbage. Completely unbeknownst to me, Jack purchased a ring with the help of his mom, Ronna, 1 WEEK before we left. Could that describe Jack any better? Waiting 1 WEEK until we left for Florida to buy the ring? Ugh. Men! When we arrived in Florida, I immediately went to the fridge (shocker) and was surprised that my dad had gotten 3 bottles of champagne. For a family that prefers literally anythinng else - to see champagne I was shocked. I asked my dad and he said it came with the room... I should've known then. I had thought that a proposal was coming, but did not expect it to be in Florida. I totally thought he would drop to his knee in Duluth when I graduated from UMD, since we met in Duluth. Looking back on the day, I was so oblivious to everyone's not-so-subtle moves to get us to go on a night-time walk. After a happy hour with our family friends, Rod and Nancy, we went back to the hotel and everyone kept bringing up our walk. "Oh I heard you and Jack are going on a walk!" - Sis in Law Nikki "What time are you guys going on this walk?" - Connor "Jack told me you guys are going on a walk" - My mom I MEAN could it be anymore obvious? I was so so oblivious. After I changed out of my outfit and into some athleisure (thanks Jack), we went on our walk. We walked to this dock that overlooked a lake at our resort and during the sunset, Jack got down on one knee. I cried and then I blacked out. You'll have to ask him what happened after that :) Thanks to our paparazzi - Connor and Nikki :)
