We met at work for the first time two days after I (Elizabeth) had gotten out of a two year long relationship. I immediately noticed how cute he was and asked our mutual friend to give him my number. I jokingly said that it would be an easy transition since he had the same name as my ex. Once we started talking I quickly realized how happy he made me and the rest was history.
Not long after talking I decided it was time to go on our first date. It was also the last day that he would be living in his old house before moving. We agreed to watch movies and order pizza and just have a casual time. On my way to his house I get a text message from him saying "We need to go to Walmart". Once I arrived at his house he told me how his mom had the internet service transferred to the new house and he had no way of streaming movies to his television so we had to go buy a DVD player. We walked to his car and he opened the door for me (which my grandma always told me was important). We got to Walmart and he grabbed the first DVD player he saw. I was immediately impressed because I am the type of person who sorts things from lowest price to highest when shopping. We picked out some movies and headed back to his house. We turned on a movie and pretty much talked the whole time. The biggest thing that I was waiting for was for the food to get there. In the end it never came because he forgot to order the pizza. All in all we spent an hour getting the DVD player, didn't watch the movie we got, and I ate 0 pizza. It was still one of the best dates I have ever been on. I knew there was going to be more dates after that. As I was leaving I didn't know if I should kiss him or not so I just gave him a half hug and ran to my car. It may have been awkward at first but it started us on our journey to happily ever after.
