Best spot for a day hike. Ask Josh about the time that Elena nearly killed him on the Blackletts trail.
The picture of us (above) was taken here! A quick mile-long hill gives you an incredible view of the city. A Bauer-family staple.
Elena and her brother Felipe spent a lot of time here growing up. Nerd out over its wildlife and mineral collection! Also-- killer gift shop.
Every single time we are in Tucson, we always come here. Get yourself a breakfast burrito and an oversized, styrofoam cup of horchata... and all is right in the world (especially if you eat it late on a Friday night ;) )
Our recommendation if you'd like something a bit more ~upscale~ or are celebrating something other than us getting married :) You simply must get the malawach.
Another Bauer-family favorite. If you do one thing while you're in Tucson, get Mexican food. FYI- there's another location closer to our venue, but we recommend going downtown for the authentic experience.
If you have time for a lazy brunch while you're in town, this place never misses.
The best dive bar in Arizona. Grab a Barrio Blonde Ale for $3.50, play some pool, and try your best to pronounce "baboquivari" (unlike Josh, who likes to call it "Danny's Charcuterie")
Start your 4th Ave bar crawl here!
Josh and Elena love to come here so that Josh can scream at the TV while sports are on! Order the "Tucson tap water" cocktail-- which makes fun of Tucson's concerningly cloudy main source of hydration. (Both the cocktail and the water are good-- we promise)
As a recent learner, Josh hasn't actually golfed in Tucson before. But this course, with an iconic par 3 at hole #3 (most photographed hole west of the Mississippi!), is top of his list.
A Tucson classic! Get the ranch fries.
