We suggest arriving by Friday (5/9) afternoon. Festivities will kick off that evening at 6:30pm. US: For those flying from the East Coast, we recommend departing by Thursday (5/8) evening. For those flying from the West Coast, we recommend departing by Thursday (5/8) afternoon. Europe and Middle East: For those flying from Europe or the Middle East, we recommend departing by Friday (5/9) morning.
Travel Note
We found that room blocks are quite expensive for large groups since hotels are quite small in the city, so to keep costs down for guests we have prepared a list of nearby hotels that we recommend. Travel Note
Sonder is a short-term rental company offering apartment-style hotels with modern designs and conveniences like stocked kitchens and luggage storage. Unlike Airbnb, guests are not expected to clean their rentals. We have stayed in Sonder spaces while visiting Rome and have had great experiences, as their spaces include kitchens, luggage storage and a front desk. We recommend looking at these spaces, especially for groups, as they can be a great value for the amount of space you get. Locations near the events include their Antinoo (we have stayed here), Spanish Steps and Barberini locations.
