FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! We kindly request that guests adhere to a Formal or Semi-Formal attire dress code. This ensures that everyone looks their best and feels comfortable on this special day. If you have any questions about specific attire, please feel free to reach out to us for clarification.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do, but we want our wedding to be your night off so no kids are invited (except for the few bridal party kids)

Question

Can I bring a date / plus one?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is parking onsite and valet will be available free of charge.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on their social medial pages. Our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #LajoieDeMiVida so we can keep track of all your pictures!

Question

Will there be any vegan / vegetarian options?

Answer

Yes, upon request to the waiter/waitress

Question

Why are there 2 ceremonies?

Answer

The choice to incorporate two ceremonies on the wedding day stems from a desire to honor our religious traditions and the wish to celebrate with a wide circle of family and friends. The first ceremony, held on a Friday early afternoon, is primarily for religious reasons. It acknowledges and respects our commitment to our faith and allows us to conduct rituals and traditions that hold deep personal significance. As this ceremony may not be conducive for a large attendance due to its timing and nature, it serves as an intimate and spiritually meaningful event. The second ceremony, scheduled to include everyone, is designed to embrace our diverse community of loved ones. It provides an opportunity to share the joyous occasion with family, friends, and acquaintances from various walks of life. By holding a separate ceremony to accommodate a broader guest list, it ensures us that our celebration is inclusive and allows everyone to participate in our special day. This dual-ceremony approach reflects a thoughtful balance between religious observance and communal celebration, creating a wedding experience that is deeply meaningful and joyously inclusive.
