FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Please wear formal attire. We ask guests to avoid wearing white, off-white, etc. Additionally, pink is reserved for the bridal party!

Question

What is the check-in process like?

Answer

Guests will arrive through the main Visitor Complex entrance. All guests have to go through the metal detectors, so the venue recommends that you reduce the number of items you bring. All bags, purses, etc. will be opened and inspected. Guests will then walk to the Moonscape area for seating. Guests will not be required to show ID to enter, but should still bring ID if they want to drink alcohol.

Question

What items are not permitted by the venue?

Answer

The following items are not permitted: Firearms of any type (with or without a permit including law enforcement officers), Live ammunition, Pepper/mace sprays, Knives, or with a fixed blade such as a hunting knife, or any switchblade (automatic opening knife or ballistic knife), Box cutters or like items. Hard sided coolers, luggage or other large bags, or wrapped items are not permitted through the front gate. All bags, purses and other items will be opened and inspected at the Visitor Complex. Chairs that fold up into a bag are allowed, but no large flat folding beach chairs or chaise lounges are permitted on property. Regular sized hand held umbrellas are allowed, but large beach umbrellas are not permitted on property. If the venue discovers any of these items, you'll be asked to surrender them or to return them to your vehicle.

Question

Are there special requirements for foreign nationals?

Answer

No -- all guests, regardless of country of origin, will go through security as described above, and none will be required to show ID or any other documentation to enter. NASA does reserve the right to restrict access to the event if they determine any security risks, so hopefully none of you are internationally recognizable criminals.

Question

At what time should guests plan to arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving at 5:00pm since Kennedy Space Center requires all guests to go through security. Note however that they can only start letting you in starting at 5:00pm (since the park is open before then), so we don't recommend arriving too much earlier than that.

Question

What airport is closest to the venue?

Answer

MLB and MCO are both around a 45-55 minute drive from the Visitor Complex. See the Travel section for more information.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We have suggested three hotels (Comfort Suites, Courtyard by Marriott, and Townplace Suites by Marriott) that are within 20 minutes driving from our venue. You can find more information and discount booking links in the Travel section.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes. Guests will be able to park at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex's main visitor parking lot. Since the park will close at 5pm, you won't need to pay for parking or obtain a parking pass of any kind -- just park in the main lot and head over to the entrance gate for check-in. If you arrive while the park is still open, the parking lot charges $15 for cars, $5 for motorcycles, and $20 for oversized vehicles.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

In 2025, Florida highs in January were generally around 65F (18C), but ranged from about 55-80F (13-27C). Lows were around 47F (8C), ranging from about 38-60F (3-16C).

Question

What happens in the event of rain or inclement weather?

Answer

We will have a backup indoor location, still at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and likely a ballroom, where we will do the ceremony in the event of inclement weather.

Question

Will guests be able to explore other areas or attractions at the visitor complex?

Answer

During the ceremony and reception, guests will need to stay in the designated areas (Moonscape patio and Atlantis). We encourage guests who are interested in exploring the rest of the Visitor Center to attend during the day (before the ceremony) or on another day! You can purchase tickets and find more information at their website: https://www.kennedyspacecenter.com/info

Question

Who are the bridesmaids and groomsmen?

Answer

Chrissy's three sisters, Rebekah Calleja, Rachel Cook, and Makayla Pettit, are our bridesmaids. Fabio's two brothers, Piero and Luca Chiappina, and Chrissy's brother, Michael Pettit, are our groomsmen.

Question

Do I need to purchase tickets in advance if I want to explore the Visitor Complex?

Answer

No, but purchasing in advance can save you time in line and guarantee you make it in (though that shouldn't be a problem at this time of year). Note that tickets are date-specific and non-transferrable.

Question

How has Aidan Mulaokar helped the bride and groom put this whole thing together?

Answer

Aidan stood near us while Fabio’s mom took our engagement pictures. He protected our belongings from threatening Australian flora and fauna, narrowly escaping with his life. He is adamant that everyone know we couldn’t have done it without him.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If you have a plus one it will be displayed in the RSVP tab of the website! Please only bring a plus one if you see the option when you RSVP.
