Question

Can I come for just the wedding?

Answer

Yes! While we will have activities planned through the weekend, we also understand that it may be more of a commitment than you are able to make. If you can't come for the whole weekend we still would love to see you for the ceremony and reception on Saturday! There are hotels in the area for those who may just want to stay over on Saturday night.

Where is the wedding and how do I get there?

Answer

Our Wedding is being held at OSRUI Summer Camp and Retreat Center. 
 The camp is located in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. It is less than 2 hours from Chicago's O'Hare Airport and 1 hour from Milwaukee Airport. There is ample parking on-site, but since you won't need a car for the weekend, we encourage folks to carpool.

What are the lodging options?

Answer

One of the things that most excited us about having our wedding at a summer camp was the ability to have our guests stay on-site for the weekend. But there are options! For those who choose to stay on-site, we have booked out the entire camp and will have lodging available. While it's a far cry from a Ritz Carlton, the rooms are also well above the traditional cabins that come to mind for a summer camp. If staying at a summer camp feels a bit too rustic for you, there are also a good number of hotels in the area where you can stay. We encourage you to book early as it is a popular weekend for weddings and midwest leaf peepers. Please let us know your plans in the RSVP.

What is the on-site lodging like?

Answer

For guests staying on-site, you can expect to have a private hotel-style room that sleeps (2-4 people per room). The layout of each room varies slightly, but most have either two twin beds or two twin beds and a full-size bed. Upon arrival, all beds will be made with hotel-style bedding and towels included for your stay. Most guests will have a private attached bathroom within their room. For some of our millennial family and friends, you may be in a building with private bedrooms and shared communal bathrooms. If you have any concerns about your housing needs, please reach out to us directly (or include in your RSVP).

Is there a cost to the weekend?

Answer

For those staying on-site for the weekend, we will ask for $100 per person (kids are free!). If this is at all cost-prohibitive please, please let us know, as we want all of our loved ones to be there. Of course, if you are just joining us for the wedding there is no cost, but you should really come for the whole weekend.

What is the food situation?

Answer

If you know us, you know that we don’t mess around when it comes to good food! This will not be the icky mess hall grub you remember from your summer camp days. You can expect nourishing food with many options at every meal as well as some special treats throughout the weekend (wouldn’t be camp without s’mores!!) We are also happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions/allergies as long as you let us know in your RSVP.

When is the actual ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be on Saturday afternoon and evening. Since we have the whole camp to ourselves, we party till we drop!
