we're getting married!

Our story began back in high school, in Mr. Ramirez’s chemistry class. We were both sophomores, and thanks to a chain of mutual friends, we ended up sitting near each other. Heather knew Allie, who knew Hayden, who knew Zeke — and before they knew it the four of us were spending class together and becoming friends. Heather told her best friend, Levi, about a boy named “Z” in her chemistry class who she thought was funny and cute. Later, she found out through Seth that Zeke actually felt the same way — though neither of them was brave enough to say anything. Thankfully, Seth worked his magic, and before long Zeke started playing Heather in iMessage games, which became their first little way of talking. On March 2, 2023, Heather had her military ball. With a little bit of nerves, she asked Zeke to be her date. He hesitated at first, but eventually said yes. They went as “just friends,” but looking back, that night feels like the real beginning of everything. Just a few days later, on March 5, 2023, Zeke asked Heather to be his girlfriend. From then on, they were pretty much inseparable. Heather drove Zeke to school for the rest of the year, and their first “official” date as a couple was a simple trip to Target — nothing fancy, but perfect for them. Since then, they’ve filled their days with adventure, laughter, and love. They spent summers together, visited King’s Dominion more times than they can count, went skiing with Zeke’s family, and even traveled all the way to France in April 2025. For their one-year anniversary, Heather surprised Zeke with a trip to an aquarium, knowing how much he loves fish. And then came the biggest surprise of all. On August 23, 2025, Zeke proposed to Heather in the beautiful Maymont Park in Richmond, surrounded by the gardens and the magic of the moment. Of course, she said yes! From high school classmates to lifelong partners, our story has been filled with little moments that turned into unforgettable memories. We can’t wait to start this next chapter together and are so excited to celebrate our wedding day with all of you who have been part of our journey.
